SCOPE AND DURATION
This is meant to be a short WebQuest. It is designed to be a simple information gathering exercise, using the internet and should take no more than two lessons. It is designed to allow students to read a significant amount of new information and make some sort of sense of it.
|
ASSESSMENTS
The assessment tasks have been kept simple considering that this is designed for Year 7 students - a poster and a group presentation. However, there are many other assessment tasks which may be derived from this webquest including
- an extended response
- a debate about the implications of this issue for Australia today
- an examination of our own constitution and seeing what connections have been inherited from this interaction between the Native Americans and the European Americans

RESOURCES
Some of the resources may be a little difficult for some students. You may wish to do some pre-reading on the topic so that you can clearly explain to any students who need the help, what the document is about.
