Correct terminology needs to be known – understand the words in the Glossary
Chapter 2 ANCIENT EGYPT
Pages 20 – 39 Mapwork, The Nile , Pharaoh, Death and Burial, Gods, Writing in Hieroglyph, Hatshepsut, Rameses.
Also the accompanying sheets that highlight areas of archaeology mapwork, housing, Pharaoh, death and burial.
Question styles
In the examination there will be:
Short answer questions: requiring only a few words to answer the question.
Matching the correct term with the meaning.
Using sources Answering questions using information given in the examination paper.
Extended writing task: based on the topic Death and Burial in Egypt
