EXAMINATION STRUCTURE:
Section I - Multiple Choice – 20 marks
Twenty multiple choice questions drawn from key concepts covered in the course.
Allow about 15 minutes to answer this section. Answers are to be written on the answer sheet provided.
Section II - Short Answers – 30 marks
These questions may cover topics such as basic legal notions, sources of law, ATSI customary law and international law. Answers should be written in the spaces provided on the examination paper. Allow about 25 minutes for this section.
Section III - Extended response – 25 marks
Your answer should be written on the writing paper provided. Allow about 50 minutes for this section.
TOPICS TO BE EXAMINED:
It is recommended that you thoroughly revise material in the following chapters of your text - Chapters 1, 2, 3 & 4
-Basic Legal Notions
-ATSI Law
-Contemporary Australian Law
-International Law
You should also refer to the Excel Study Guide, class notes, excursion notes, relevant case law and any current affairs material distributed in class or collected by yourself during the course.
