The Task:
To answer TWO questions on the topic of Shi Huangdi (the exact questions will be given to you in class on Friday, 26th March).
Question One will ask you to EXPLAIN – which means you should make relationships between things clear and provide how and why.
Question Two will ask you to DESCRIBE – which means you should provide characteristics or features.
The Process:
A set of sources will be given to you in class on the day you do the test.
You will have 10 minutes at the start of this class to read these sources carefully. You will be allowed to refer to the sources while writing your answers.
You will then have 40 minutes to answer the two questions. Start each question on a new page. You should spend about 20 minutes on each question.
AREAS TO STUDY:
Before the test you should revise your class notes and textbook.
OUTCOMES BEING ASSESSED:
The NSW Board of Studies Outcomes that will be assessed for your knowledge and ability are:
M4.4 – describes people's experiences as citizens of China during the reign of Shi Huangdi.
M4.14 – creates texts using evidence to retell, describe, explain and argue, with guidance.
